If you follow me on Twitter, and I'm sure all 4 of you that read this do so that's a huge overlapping Venn diagram, you may know I stated that "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" is not one of the Top 100 songs in Elton John's catalog. What brought this up is the Backstreet Boys have a new single called "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and it reminded many of the Elton John-Kiki Dee duet. The song was never released on an official album, but was a hit. It's also not a good song. Just because a song is catchy, does not make it good. I'm not going to say it's awful, but it's very quirky and just is a bullshit song that lacks meaning to me.
So to put my money where my mouth is regarding this song, here are 100+ better songs by Elton John. I am going to just make the list with no real reason for listing the songs where they are, other than probable chronological order of going through John's album/song list.

I could probably name some more songs, but I would have to go back through his discography and listen to the songs I don't know as well. My point, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" is only considered good because it's catchy. The weak attempt to do a Motown song is not a success.
